BRIAN MYKIETOWICH 1963 - 2010 Brian passed away peacefully, at Riverview Health Center, with his family at his side on November 10, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Brian is survived by his loving wife Rose, son Joseph, and daughter Melanie; mom Anne Prior (Brian); mother-in-law Cathy Kehler and father-in-law Ed Kehler; brothers Ken (Shelbey), Daryl (Maria); brother-in law Michael (Cheryl); niece Paris; nephews Nicholas, Ryan, Brock, Joshua, Jeremy, and Steven. Brian was predeceased by his dad Joseph in 1979. Brian was born and raised in Winnipeg. He attended school in Winnipeg and later moved to Morden with his Mom and brother in 1979. In Morden, they operated Hanyas Hen House Restaurant. Brain graduated from Morden Collegiate in 1981. He met Rose and they were married in 1983. Brian enjoyed golfing and fishing and spent many hours watching fish swim by. Brian was a lover of dogs big and small. Mimmie, Jo Jo and Mozart spent many hours with Brian at home. Brian was a great communicator, very personable and always knew everyone on first name basis. He was also a very talented artist. He kept in touch with family all the time. He loved his job with Entertainment (Book of Gold). It didn't matter of a person's social status, they were all important to him and treated them with respect and dignity. He had a great sense of humour and a quick smile. Brian was an active member and past President of Morden Kinsmen Club. In 1988 Brian, Rose and children moved to Winnipeg. Brian and Rose were active members in Faith Lutheran Church. Brian was great for surprises. One year, as a surprise, Brian arranged a trip for Rose, Debbie and Sue to Oprah's show. What a gift! Brian was always a go-getter. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
